Day 3, 20 dec 09: Yokohama

Had some bread and coffee for breakfast in our rooms.

Then we caught the train from Ikebukuro Tokyo metro line to Shibuya then changed the line to Yokohama lastly from Yokohama to Sakuragicho where our hotel was.

Breezebay Hotel - Source from Internet

Breezebay hotel was quite strategically located near Sakuragicho station. At first we had difficulty finding it as it was blocked by few taller buildings. Rooms were quite spacious too.

View outside our hotel room.

To our surprise, Yokohama was pretty cold due to the chilling sea breezes.

We visited Mitsu shopping outlet at the Mitsui Outlet Park at Yokohama built next to the Asia's largest marina and my aunt and sis were glad to grab more discounted branded items there. I've got myself a Lacoste bag for S$80!

To get there, we took train from Sakuragicho to Shin-Sugita then transfered to Sea-Side line (had a quick lunch at a restaurant along the transfer as shops are located) to Torihama.

Sea-side line - Shin-Sugita station. ~ Unfortunately the toilet over there stinks!

When reached the station, still need to walk over a bridge across to the Outlet.
The place was lovely. And quite a lot of stuffs to buy too!

A pony for petting

A marina

Beautiful sunset at the marina

After our shopping, we went over to a place called Jonathans (western food) near Sakuragicho station and had our dinner there.

Day 4, 21 dec 09: Yokohama, Hakkeijima

Rise and shine!

Visited Sea Paradise, Hakkeijima in the morning after some breakfast in Mos Burger near our hotel. Took train to Shin-Sugita again and change over to sea- side line.

A nice park near the train station

A new way to 'murder' someone on a wheelchair. XD

We had to walk along this long bridge to each Hakkeijima Island.

There were lots of jellyfishes swimming underneath the waters.

Powerpuff girls!

Cost 100yen for this to take you to the entrance across the bridge

The tall pyramid structure is the Aqua Museum

Bought the aqua museum tickets along with the dolphin world and Fureal lagoon.
We went into the dolphin fantasy first.

The dolphins are beautiful......

Then we saw something big and white moving very fast in another tank.

The white whale in action. Quite difficult to capture it on photo.

Moved on to the Fureal Lagoon.

Really enjoyed touching dolphin (feels like an inflated balloon) for a first time and the white whale (toufu).

White whale saying "Bye!"

Browsed the souvenir shops. Interesting findings.

The stuff there were so cute lor!!!

Then saw this beautiful gown. Din manage to find out why is it there.
Maybe I can wear this for my wedding?

The Aqua museum was indeed fascinating as described by many others.

Had lunch at the themepark's foodcourt before going to our next ad-hoc destination, the Yokohama Redbrick Warehouse

Nothing much to shop over there as the stuff were expensive.

As a matter of chance, we ended up in Landmark Tower as we thought we could visit the top floor and view the city sky line for free however it charged for a fee of 1000 yen each.

Managed to purchase items at 1000 yen each at H&M and had our last dinner in Yokohama.

....... to be continued in Day 5
