The Mickey Mouse Club

M.I.C.K.E.Y M.O.U.S.E

Found an old clip showing nowadays stars like Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. Christina's voice is totally amazing and Britney is good in making backflips. I have no idea who the black boy is, but he did seem to have a good voice also.

Notice the blond boy, heard from someone he is Ryan Gosling (guy from The Notebook). What a hottie!!

Favourite scenes of my favourite movies.

The 5th Element

Can anyone recall the hot perfect human girl, Lilo from 5th element? The diva's singing performance and Lilo's aka Bruce Lee's fights really kick some asses. Costumes designed by JPG.

Dirty Dancing

The last dance between Baby and Johnny captivated me the most although I love all parts of the movie

Band of Brothers

This scene really drew me into tears. A soldier by the name of Albert Blithe who was fearful of death, stuck in his hole and refused to fight. Eventually, he pulled out his gun and shot down a German soldier from far, walked to the fallen and picked the Elderwiss from the German's pocket. Elderwiss is Germany's national flower, btw.

Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring

Gandalf's battle with Balrog is the BEST!!! I dun care abt other battle scenes anymore after seeing this. However the clip attached is kind of stupid, shall replace a better one if I found it.

How true it is...

Concept Plan of the Mass Rapid Transport by 2020.
Terrorism + Buildings of the 1970s

I was curious over this question. Why do buildings, especially shopping centres built in the 1970s have a huge fleet of stairs to its 1st storey, which is way high above ground? There are several observations which I derived after asking some of my colleagues.

1) Because Singapore has serious flooding problems, area tends to flood when there is a heavy thunder storm( there is no proper drainage during that time) <-- provided by a colleague

2) Shopping centres want to create a grand entrance for its patrons, could be related back to the colonial times (City Hall). <-- provided by colleague

3) Due to site conditions, could be on a higher terrain, or they wanted to create natural ventilation for the basement. <-- provided by colleague

4) A deterrent to terrorism; if terrorists wants to create a 'jihad' using vehicles, they may choose to ramp into the 1st storey if it is of the same height level. Take note that during that time, Singapore was facing threats from communists terrorists. According to MHA, terrorism had occurred even before Singapore's independence. A bomb planted by terrorists took place in Mcdonald house in 1965 Singapore.

I felt ridiculed when my colleagues laughed at me when I told them it was terrorism. They said they never heard before, they mentioned it was simply "layman". Another colleague of mine "slapped" with a comment, "NONSENSE, you watched too much channel 8!!!"

Just because I sprout in Mandarin and Hokkien sometimes does not mean I am ignorant. I felt I do not really belong to these group of jokers sometimes. What they heard is filtered news by the Government and media, have they really thought through of what is the true story behind? Take a look at all those shopping centres built in the 1970s, Shaw Tower, Tanjong Katong Shopping Centre, they are similar in the way they are constructed, a fleet of stairs to the entrance, not handicap friendly.

Could anyone agree more to this?

Mr Elite pretends...

This morning, i woke up feeling very grouchy and tired... so I decided to take 1/2 day off to sleep alittle more. Went to office at 1pm, saw them getting busy for nothing, went to my workstation, on my pc (damn, getting slower each time I on it) and cleared all those non-value-added emails which tend to flood my mail box.

Saw Mr Elite heading towards me, I looked away, pretending to be busy clearing emails and having lots of work.

He asked me, "You're not feeling well this morning?"
"Yah........" I answered without lifting an eyebrow and without a smile.
"Then you should have given me a buzz or something...." he replied with a comforting tone, as if I was a little girl. Btw, he is my reporting officer.
"I was not even awake to reply the sms I sent out to XXX ( our section coordinator), thus too tired to inform you also."

As usual, he came to me with a purpose. A purpose to fulfill what he wants me to do for him. Like a boss's son, he wanted me to "do these do that"... da da da...

Why is he being so patronizing? Don't he feel tired acting like that all the time?

"Hairy" Harry

There'd been alot of news from our Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe. One of them is the upcoming 5th and 6th installment of Harry Potter. The other is the publicity photos for the controversial play, Equss which showed a topless and buffed Radcliffe being hugged by a naked woman. Another shows him leaning against bales of hay as he stares up at the topless woman. A third has him posing in front of a white horse.

"..............................."

These photos have raised adverse feedbacks from his fans, where parents of these children wrote in,

"We as parents feel Daniel should not appear nude. Our nine-year-old son looks up to him as a role model. We are very disappointed and will avoid the future movies he makes," one parent wrote."

Honestly speaking, I think these shots are a breakthrough from his Harry Potter's image. However, I still miss the little boy's looks of dear Daniel.

Not really a die-hard fan of the Harry Potter's books, I've watched every episode of the Harry Potter's movies, seeing how the boy has grown up. Looking at his new tough looks and hairy chest... dark body hair...oops... I am not sexually attracted to him.. mind you..!!!! And dun accuse me of being a paedophile. But the mentioning of growing up just entwines in my little mind for a while.

How fast kids grew up into adults these days...

The problem with child-stars is even when they have grown up, people still think of them as children and sometimes hard to accept them as adults.

Christina Ricci in "The Adams Family"

Kirsten Dunst in "Interview with the Vampire"

The images of young Kirsten Dunst and Christina Ricci are still captivated in my mind and it is hard to shake them off.
