I tried my luck to call up an old friend, Simon Lee. Didn't expect him to pick up the call too, and even more surprised to hear that he is now training in New Zealand!! Wow, must be the training from OCS.

Well, I still remembered that he signed on with the Army last time(abt 5 years ago) He was kind of surprised to hear from me and he says he will be coming back to Spore 2 days later. Saw his graduation photo from Friendster and his profile is still single & unattached. I wonder is it bec of the old broken relationship last time that he is still picking up the remaining pieces... btw, Sunflower is now somebody's wife already, and she will be inviting me to her housewarming in Feb. I need to catch up with her on so much things, so much I have lost these years...

Gave out some CYN cards to my colleagues, drawing a fat ugly chicken in the postcard. It is the ugliest drawing I've drawn in this year, my skills deteriorated alot. I need to practise more now...

Mine... I am so sleepy... I slept at 3.00am last time.. guess which Simon I am thinking now.. haha...

Oh my God... I see rat burrows again... Why didn't the rats travel across to Suntec City? I guess they do not know how to cross over using the overhead bridge.

Meaningful.. for women..
By the time the Lord made woman, He was into his sixth day of working overtime. An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic.

1) She has over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers.

2) She has a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything with only two hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way!And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish."But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."
The angel moved closer and touched the woman."But you have made her so soft, Lord." ”She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough.

You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?", asked the angel.
The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate."
The angel then noticed something, and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.

"Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."
"That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.

The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride."
The angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything! Woman is truly amazing."And she is! Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH

The lift at my flat is under maintainence. I guess it is due to some pranksters that urinated in the lift. It is a new one by the upgrading programme.

I tried climbing the stairs (I am living at the 4th storey), felt tired after that. I think lack of exercise, which I have been taking the lift all times, even coming down the stairs. While the lift is still under maintenance, I took up the challenge to climb up( as an exercise). I had weak knees after that. :( But I can sense my 'belt' is looser... psychologically??

It's Hari Raya Haji today. Yet, something terrible happened. There was a fire in the morning at Bedok HDB. 1 Bangalah fell to his death when he tried escaping from the fire.

I heard that there is a custom that every Muslim will travel to a place in the Middle East (not sure where is the place) to throw stones at a STONE??... It was believed that the Stone was something got to do with Devil.. or some other evil people that were dead long ago. Few thousands or even millions of devoted Muslims will crowd there to throw stones and some were killed in the big stampede almost every year.

I am terribly bored today... No one asked me out. I felt like looking for a male companion.

Been practising Pilates these few weeks, 10 minutes before bedtime. Hmmm... muscles tend to be firm after that, but my weight is still the same. :( Maybe I should go back to job at Tampines Stadium to sweat.

I truly dislike people to tease abt my weight, esp my sis!!! Hate talking to her sometimes, where she thinks she is slim and jokes abt my figure. :(

So should I have lunch later...?

Grandma will be staying in hospital(Mt E) for quite sometime. The unfilial son of hers said that perhaps she should stay in GH as the fees are cheaper. Maybe he has forgotten how grandpa passed away when staying there.

We visited her that afternoon and she was muttering deathness... she complained that she can hardly breathe and all her children were not around to see her for the last moment. My aunt, her maid & I helped to soothe her down by massaging her head, body, kept talking to her and consoling her that she will be alright. It seemed that she was very depressed and kept on moaning. The phelgm was stuck in her throat and she tried hard to cough them out.

Surprisingly, she felt better when the unfilial son of hers turned up. The doctor says that she has another 1 or 2 years to go....
A CFF outing at Ai Qing Hai... Noisy place to chat. Not really a recommendation for pep talk. Posted by Hello

Just had a minor haircut today. It's the first time I tried the $10 dollars, 10 mins haircut... in QB Bugis. The hair salon has a ticket machine where u slot only $10 note inside, get yr ticket and queue for yr haircut. Then when's yr turn, just give yr card to the hair styler..(I think it is called Cutter)

Those japs!! They really know ways to earn money!! The outcome of my haircut is the same as the uncut version... I only had my hair trimmed less than an inch just to snip away the split ends (i had plenty of them).

Anyway. I learnt my lesson this time.

My grandma's in hospital again. I really need to visit her more often... I guess her time is near. I really dun wan to think of that further, I just want to keep that natural. Well, everyone has to die anyway. Sometimes I think I am a coward. I can't show affection and concern to someone I need to love. It is not bec I do not love my grandma, it is just my personality. I just can't change, I dunno... I keep making those pple who are close to me, miserable. I just dun wan them to see me cry..

Tasks for 2005

1) To finish my Higher Diploma in Real Estate & Property Management

I am still in the middle of it, finishing in June (perhaps?). Currently in Property Economics. Thanks to Mr Chu (SAJC)... I still remember the fundamentals of Economics pretty well. BTW, still wondering whether he's married or not..

2) To pay my taxes

I will write to IRAS to inform them I have a more stable job and can contribute abit to the community. At least I got this feeling I won't be charged for not paying taxes. :P

3) To get a health/accident insurance

Need to get insured. You can't predict what will happen to you the next moment...

4) To enrol into NUS(part-time)

Well, that depends on my luck... But when I were to think of the fees.... @-___-@ ...... (sian half)

5) To buy a Wacom Tablet

Learn to draw digitally in the computer, but first, I have to format/upgrade my PC as it is getting too old. Will be installing Painter 8 into it, so need a higher memory to support.

6) Draw some comic strips

Perhaps draft out some ideas from my job? :)

7) Learn a third language?

Sounds incredible especially when you reached a certain age. Perhaps I need to learn Tamil as India is the next country other than China where there will be further developements. (Nin ge, na de, san de... hohoho... I am talking in Tamil... vanakum (goodbye)..) <--- learnt from Tamil evening news

8) I will be updating soon...

Ayumi Hamasaki's new album Posted by Hello

Wednesday, January 12, 2005

Bought Ayumi Hamasaki's new album "My Story" recently... gosh I am a little overaged for J-pop.... Yup the pretty little album comes with a nice DVD mtv and booklet. Ayumi was seriously in the lead of latest trend. The album is pink in colour which is the hip colour for winter now.

I like the song "GAME"... The MTV too... Ayumi is fabulous in tight black leather... The whole MTV's mood is black in colour too... Ayu shows off her petite & slim figure which every men adore. It seems that she wears wigs alot... sometimes I wondered wat is her real hair colour... I like her dolly dress too.

My uncle says that she looks ugly... hmmm....?? Perhaps the makeup?

There was this funny scene in the making of moments.. when Ayu was yawning and she was caught in video. Haha... after realising she was caught in the act, she closed her mouth immediately... then slowly release the rest of the "yawning" by moving her lips... It's very funny to see her like this... then the rest of the crew copied her... haha.. so wacky. Imagine the J-pop queen yawning... POP queen also human mah....

I guess my trip to Japan has to be postponed.... there have been no news of the confirmation. Probably be going there in late March to see the sakura..

Yup, I am going to be extremely broke after the trip... :(
Guess I should do some budgeting now, to check on my spendings & savings. Or else I will remain poor in my whole life!!!

Been listening "hard" on Phantom of the Opera....Here's the lyrics.. You may choose to practise singing too..

Phantom of the Opera

Christine:
In sleep he sang to me
In dreams he came
That voice which calls to me
And speaks my name
And do I dream again?
For now I find
The phantom of the opera is there,
Inside my mind

Phantom:
Sing once again with me
Our strange duet
My power over you
Grows stronger yet
And though you turn from me to glance behind
The phantom of the opera is there
Inside your mind

Christine:
Those who have seen your face
Draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear

Phantom:
It's me they hear

Both: My/Your spirit and my/your voice
In one combined
The phantom of the opera is there inside my/your mind

Chorus:
Is that the phantom of the opera?
Beware the phantom of the opera

Phantom:
In all your fantasies you always knew
That man and mystery

Christine: Were both in you

Both:
And in this labrinth
Where night is blind
The Phantom of the opera is here/there

Christine:
Inside my mind

Phantom:
Sing, my Angel of Music! CHRISTINE

He's there, the Phantom of the Opera . .
(The high chords here nearly killed my throat...)
